About me

I'm Basti, living in Vienna, where I craft the future as a product designer. I'm curious about technology, design and lovely user experiences.

After working working on different software projects with friends during high school I started to work as a product designer at the fintech startup Brickwise.

At the moment, I work for George as a designer in the products cluster. Together with an agile squad of 12 people, I'm delivering lovely user experiences to the 9M users who manage their finances effortlessly.

Philosophy

Always put the problem first

Start with understanding the problem in detail, which should be solved. Then, continually develop that understanding and return to it, again and again, to make sure you are still on track.

Think big, start small, learn fast

Think ambitious, but keep in mind that big things may start small. Always try to find the minimum viable solution. Find a way to quickly figure out if you have solved the problem or not.

Leave your ego at the door

It's easy to become over-confident in own ideas and opinions.  Constant iteration, data analysis,  user testing, and precise feedback  can help us build more clarity and  confidence in our work.

You can’t improve what you don’t measure

Metrics act as road signs, showing us where to improve and grow. Always embrace measurement to move forward with confidence and clarity.
